Collaborative Design for the Performing Arts
This interactive presentation and panel discussion, which took place on October 2nd 2014 at the annual DesignDC conference, focuses on the collaboration between the architect, acoustician and theater planner in the design of concert halls, multi-use theaters and other performance venues. Panel participants include:

- Robert Campbell, Principal, Fisher Dachs Associates
These three firms have worked together on a myriad of internationally recognized and award winning venues including Severance Hall for the Cleveland Orchestra, Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville, Tennessee, the Smith Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, and the Gaillard Center in Charleston, South Carolina for Spoleto Festival USA. All three firms are committed to the concept that the architecture, acoustics and theatrical solutions should be one and the same.
DesignDC is a yearly conference presented by AIA chapters from around the Washington D.C. Metro region. The focus of DesignDC 2014 was on the theme of Smart Synergies and the integral role that adept collaboration plays for architects, planners, landscape architects, and other design professionals.
