Andrew Carroll joined David M. Schwarz Architects in Fall 2024 after graduating from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Architecture and a minor in Real Estate. Before arriving at DMSAS, Andrew explored a variety of different architectural pursuits. He has worked in the urban planning field to design walkable communities, as a youth art and architecture instructor, and he and his team received third place in the Castello Chigi Restoration design competition in 2021. Andrew’s varied experiences help to inspire and direct his design methods and work at DMSAS.

Growing up in Indianapolis, Indiana, then later in Westchester, New York, Andrew’s first architectural experience was making sprawling towns and cities for model trains to run through as a child. As he got older, this love of design joined his growing interests in art, history, and mathematics. After getting a taste of being an architect at a design summer camp, he found that it was the perfect avenue to combine his passions, and he has been in love with architecture ever since. Outside of work, Andrew enjoys traveling, reading, and visiting the myriad of museums in DC to sketch with friends.
